Story: Problem Child smells like the kid every Indian family claims they do not understand but secretly watches the most closely , the one sitting quietly in the corner at a wedding, wearing freshly ironed clothes, smelling of lavender, mint, cardamom, bergamot, and artemisia like innocence had put on deodorant and learned sarcasm; I made this thinking of every time I was told to “behave properly” five minutes before doing something deeply educational for my character and extremely inconvenient for the adults, because beneath that clean aromatic opening there is cinnamon, orange blossom, and caraway warming up like gossip in a kitchen, sweet, spicy, floral, and slightly suspicious, the kind of smell that says yes, he touched the expensive showpiece, yes, he knows who broke it, no, he will not cooperate with the investigation; then the base arrives , vanilla, tonka bean, amber, sandalwood, and cedar , soft, sweet, woody, almost angelic, which is exactly how dangerous people get away with things, by smelling like dessert and speaking like a saint while quietly setting fire to the seating arrangement of society; this is not a loud rebel perfume, it is worse, it is charming, warm, powdered, polite at first, and then suddenly you realize it has convinced you to skip the rules, text the wrong person, stay out too late, and call it “healing”; Problem Child is for anyone who was called difficult when they were really just early, anyone who smiled through discipline while mentally escaping through the bathroom window, and anyone who knows that good behaviour is often just bad perfume with better PR.
